We were so fortunate to have Anna as our guide for a small private "culinary" tour of Bari. Let me begin by saying that we returned to our cruise ship absolutely stuffed with the most remarkable foods. Anna was fantastic; smart, funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable of all things Bari. She's lived her for 20 years and it shows. We had the best focaccia ever and an incredible lunch spread (could not come close to finishing it). The old part of Bari was also delightful to explore with Anna, and especially so on a beautiful day. You will be especially fortunate if you can get her as a guide. Her tour was an absolute highlight of our trip.

He speaks english fluently so there were no problems with understanding. He was also eager to answer a lot of extra questions so do not hesitate to ask one!

Adriano was fantastic. Gave a real insight into Bari and gave a really good flavour of what it was like to be a local in the old town. Good information was given on historical sights and tried to make the tour interactive.

One of the best tours we've had (trust me, we've had quite a few around Europe)! Fabrizio was super enthusiastic, knowledgeable and kept our attention going despite the scorching sun and the city noises around us. We booked the tour because in our opinion these free tours in cities all around the world are usually done by dedicated people that love to present their city with all its sights, secrets and curiosities. This tour is no exception: Our guide Michele was eloquent, knowledgeable and funny. From history, everday life, city culture, architecture and the traditional food - he gave us a wonderful insight in the city of Bari!

Anna was our tour guide for the free tour of Bari, and she was fantastic. This was a wonderful introduction to Bari, and Anna was great at engaging the group, offering nuggets of information I would never have known, and I left with a much better appreciation and understanding of the city. I highly recommend this tour, and a friendly reminder to all fellow travellers that though the tour is free to bring some cash to tip your guide- they’re SO worth it!

A must do trip, early in your stay in Bari This is a 'must do' excursion as early as you can after arriving in Bari. Our guide Adriano was superb. We now know where to go back to, to spend more time exploring, and where to eat and drink like locals. Navigating the old town is tricky as there are dozens of narrow streets and alleys. We got to see the hidden gens like the one of the local women making the Barese pasta called Orrechiette. There's also an interactive history lesson!
This is a fantastic walking tour and I thoroughly recommend it to all. Bravo Adriano!

Fascinating tour with Michele this morning. Brought the history and present of Bari alive really quickly. A lovely and unique city and the perfect way to see it. A great business model too, curiously and satisfyingly rooted in the Barese culture of independence and resistance to whatever prevailing authority has happened to attempt to impose itself on the city (and there have been a few!).

We had a great walk with Giuseppe through the old streets of Bari. His profound knowledge and his personal stories made this walking tour very special. We would recommend this tour to everyone who is interested in a real Barese experience than in just another commercial walking tour!

Excellent We really enjoyed this tour with Francesco walking through old town Bari. There was a lot to see in the two hours it took and the commentary was very interesting. He pointed out several places that were worth visiting another time for a more leisurely look (We took note to go back to the Palazzo dell'Acquedotto Pugliese which was open weekend mornings) We were contacted several days in advance to let us know that the tour would be leaving an hour earlier than previously advised because of the high temperatures, which was definitely sensible as it was so so hot. Would definitely recommend.

The most important things at first: we got to know where to get the best pizza, panini and gelato in Bari. How? By having a really awesome tour by Adriano! He was really passionate about telling the story of bari and showing us the different parts of the city. Book this tour in your first day - an you have a good amount of inspirations for your holiday. We were guided by Fabrizio. A wonderful, funny and friendly guy who spent about two hours with our group of 12 people from various countries of the world. He spoke English very well and his descriptions were brief, interesting and to the point. No pressure to pay anything at all. Only pay voluntarily. One word of caution: they start the tour at the harbour but they end it at the modern Bari area. So allow half hour of extra walking!
