Excellent We really enjoyed this tour with Francesco walking through old town Bari. There was a lot to see in the two hours it took and the commentary was very interesting. He pointed out several places that were worth visiting another time for a more leisurely look (We took note to go back to the Palazzo dell'Acquedotto Pugliese which was open weekend mornings) We were contacted several days in advance to let us know that the tour would be leaving an hour earlier than previously advised because of the high temperatures, which was definitely sensible as it was so so hot. Would definitely recommend.

Free Walking Tour of Bari Our guide was Fabrizio. Big shoutout for his ability to lead a group in a nice, interactive way while still making sure we learn something about the city's history, culture and heritage. I especially liked the way the historical outline was presented... but no spoilers here, I really recommend to join the tour and of course tip the guide generously at the end!

Great experience We had a two hour walk starting from the old town to Murat. Our guide Fabrizio gave an enthusiastic presentation not only of the historical facts and sights but also about the barese spirit and life style. Meeting the guy that is the ice dealer for the whole town (there is actually an ice dealer, yes) and the lady making orecchiette pasta on the street is something you hardly find on your own and cannot simply google out. While Fabrizio was talking about how orecchiette are served a couple of old ladies started to shout their best recepies from their window - it's just priceless. After having around 20 free walking tours around the world that was probably one of the most authentic, enthusiastic, relaxed and friendly walks ever. Fabrizio was kindly providing good advices for foodies and the things to do, not only in the town but also in the rest of Puglia region.

The best walking tour ever. Bari Old Town is magical and special by itself, but when Fabrizio is around, everything just shine brighter. A super friendly person with amazing energy and great knowledge and connection to the history of the place, Fabrizio made the two and a half hour tour to feel like a chat with your best friend. Getting to know the tales, the myths and the dialects of this amazing place was an unforgettable experience which I recommend completely.

This was a wonderful introduction to Bari, and Anna was great at engaging the group, offering nuggets of information I would never have known, and I left with a much better appreciation and understanding of the city. We were so fortunate to have Anna as our guide for a small private "culinary" tour of Bari. Let me begin by saying that we returned to our cruise ship absolutely stuffed with the most remarkable foods. Anna was fantastic; smart, funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable of all things Bari. She's lived her for 20 years and it shows. We had the best focaccia ever and an incredible lunch spread (could not come close to finishing it). The old part of Bari was also delightful to explore with Anna, and especially so on a beautiful day. You will be especially fortunate if you can get her as a guide. Her tour was an absolute highlight of our trip.

We were guided by Fabrizio. A wonderful, funny and friendly guy who spent about two hours with our group of 12 people from various countries of the world. He spoke English very well and his descriptions were brief, interesting and to the point. No pressure to pay anything at all. Only pay voluntarily. One word of caution: they start the tour at the harbour but they end it at the modern Bari area. So allow half hour of extra walking!

Best way to visit Bari We loved our Free Walking Tour with Fabrizio. Best way to visit Bari Vecchia and a bit of the new city as well. We didn't expect to enter the Cathedral, that was a nice plus of the tour since usually free walking tours don't include going into buildings.

Fascinating tour with Michele this morning. Brought the history and present of Bari alive really quickly. A lovely and unique city and the perfect way to see it. A great business model too, curiously and satisfyingly rooted in the Barese culture of independence and resistance to whatever prevailing authority has happened to attempt to impose itself on the city (and there have been a few!).
